Bedroom Flood - Daily Departure and Post Mitigation
When you look at these images, it may be confusing as to why the clients who had water damage to this area of their home would need air movers to dry the concrete that had been under the carpet. The wet carpet was removed, the drywall and the trim around the area were removed, and concrete can dry on its own, right?
The truth is, in situations like the one that this client was in, it’s important to get the air movers in. The air movers were placed here to dry the floor quickly to prevent mold growth. They were also placed to prevent mold growth in the wooden beams in the walls. It’s important to remember that secondary damage from water can be just as bad as the initial damage. If you get ahead of any possible secondary damage, you could save yourself from more trouble and higher restoration costs.
