Burn House Training - Bed Room Scenario

This fire scenario was by far the most fun of the day. The story behind how the fire started is a scorned girlfriend finding out from neighbors that her boyfriend had cheated on her multiple times. So she lit his bed and clothes on fire. The fire started out on the mattress on the left side of the room, and spread to the right very quickly, destroying clothes, furniture, and technology.

It really is interesting to see how fast the fire spread and the paths the flames chose to take. It was just as interesting to see the different types of hose settings the firefighter trainees were learning to use and how that affected the extinguishing of the fire and the resulting smoke. This was the room that started the day off as well, and it was quite the opening burn!
